I. Overview

The Register screen (/register) lets a new store owner create a LionPOS account and a first store in 3 lean steps. No email verification is required before the store is created — you can start selling immediately and verify the email later from your profile.

Use this screen once per business. After you sign up, sign in at /vendor-login. For day-to-day POS work, create employee accounts from the dashboard instead.

II. Step 1 — Account info

1. **Open `/register`** from the homepage or the owner-login screen's "Sign up" link. 2. **Fill in your name** (split into first/last name automatically). 3. **Fill in your phone number** (used for support). 4. **Fill in your email** (becomes your login email). 5. **Click "Continue"**.

Validation

III. Step 2 — Store + password

1. **Enter a store name** (e.g. `Lion Grocery Store`). 2. **(Optional) Pick a store slug.** - Defaults are auto-suggested from the store name as you type. - Slug becomes part of the public store URL: `.sutupos.com`. - Must be lowercase letters, digits, dashes only. 3. **Set a password** (min 6 characters). 4. **Tick "I accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy".** 5. **Click "Create account"**.

You can change the store name and slug later from **Settings → Store info**. Slug is unique across the platform — if your preferred slug is taken, append a digit (e.g. `lion-grocery-1`).

IV. Step 3 — Success

After a successful registration:

1. The screen shows a store URL (<slug>.sutupos.com) and your username (the email).
2. Click “Sign in” to go to /vendor-login.
3. The session is created and you land on /dashboard with the first-store setup wizard.

Post-registration checklist

• Open the first-store setup wizard and pick your business type (retail / F&B / service).
• Add at least 3 products so the catalog isn’t empty.
• Create an employee account so a cashier can sign in at the lane.
• Configure your receipt printer (if you have one) in Settings → Hardware.

V. Common errors
